Can a C6 Z06 LS7 in NA form take a bolt on Gen V Viper?

The 7.0 liter LS7 V8 is a fantastic naturally aspirated motor and part of what made the C6 Z06 such a hit. It also helped that the C6 Z06 was the last time the model was considered light coming in at roughly ~3150 pounds.

Believe it or not, the Gen V Dodge Viper weighs roughly the same. It also has a larger 8.4 liter V10 motor but it does not rev as high.

The Z06 in the video has weight stripped out, a higher 7700 rpm redline, is tuned on E85, and makes 646 rear wheel horsepower. It's definitely up there for a naturally aspirated LS7 build.

So how does a bolt on Viper do? Very well but the Z06 edges it up top. It's a great run.

Keep in mind a Gen V Viper V10 with heads, a cam, and tuning on E85 can put out another 100 whp+ horsepower on this LS7.

SneakySnakes is one of my favorite youtubers because he shares all of his runs. I'd still take the viper over that Z. I'm partial to minor things like full exhaust and front swaybars, lol

Yep, his stuff is great and he can drive.

Time for some nitrous or cam or more cubes though.

He went head/cams 5 months ago which means that Z is strong, but the Viper is still fully streetable

My bad but that's a pretty mild cam and tune for the viper.
